Strategy & Content

Lesley has spent 20 years
working in retail environments
across multiple channels. Her
experience includes years of
hands-on experience helping
customers in stores, as well as
advertising and marketing
expertise in direct mail, print
ads, store signage and Web
content & design. Her career
path has resulted in her maintaining her loyalty to customer advocacy and using that as the building block for the creation of strong branded messaging.

Lesley has understood the importance of a strong brand since the
beginning of her career. While working at Nordstrom through college
and then again as she launched her career in marketing, she saw
first hand how well the word-of-mouth approach worked for the
company. As an empowered and loyal employee, she realized that the store experience is the deciding factor for shoppers in all channels. Taking that knowledge on to Alta Vista Shopping.com as a content manager, Lesley was instrumental in creating a rich online store, branded “Smart is Beautiful, and bent on providing the information customers needed to make informed decisions in the absence of associates.

Moving on to the interactive side of Circuit City and The Home Depot
gave Lesley a new perspective on retail—the “big box. She learned to be fast paced and responsive to market demands, yet still dedicated to building a strong brand (and bond) with customers. The scope of larger companies like these gave Lesley a unique perspective on how to maintain a brand over long term and not lose site of the customer. Now, new to Retail Media Consulting, Lesley’s focus is back to the beginning—what’s going on in the store and how can we make sure it’s the right experience for our shoppers? Bringing her online experience to the store is her goal to integrate channels for our partners and demonstrate the need for information across the board. Lesley has been a part of major brand relaunches at Alta Vista, Circuit City and The Home Depot.
